  I first came to Berean Baptist Church in 1983. Since then I have watched this church devolve into an abject failure and a despicable testimony under Pastor Paul Owens. His preaching is as lackluster as anything you will hear, but more importantly is how this man has treated his aging mother and father for many years, culminating in a physical assault upon his father in the church office that resulted in serious injury for this elderly man. Pastor Paul Owens has acted in a vindictive and vicious manner toward his elderly parents, turning the 5th Commandment upon its head and showing anything but love respect and gratitude for the man who founded his church and paid it off. He has refused numerous efforts by his parents to reconcile. May God have mercy on Paul Owens.
